1-3/4 cups sugar1/2 teaspoon salt4 cups whole milk1-1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut, divided4 cups heavy whipping cream1 tablespoon vanilla extractToasted sweetened shredded coconut, optional


In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar and salt; cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat just until mixture begins khổng lồ boil. Stir in 1/2 cup coconut.
