Don’t have a grill? That’s ok – I don’t have one either. You can still make perfectly cooked steak in a grill pan – & it cooks in under 10 minutes. I promise, it is easier than you might think, và I will walk you through step by step.

For this recipe, I teamed up withPRE Grass Fed Beef to cook some of their steaks. PRE is focused on providing customers with the top 10% of grass fed beef from around the world, focusing on taste, tenderness, & juiciness. Since this beef is the best of the best, I didn’t want to overly complicate things.

I seasoned the steakwith some seasoning salt và seasoning pepper, cooked it in a touch of butter, and served it with shallots & mushrooms that were sautéed in the steak juices, và paired it with spinach, và mashed potatoes.

I like my steaks between rare và medium rare- cooked just until they are warm in the middle. You can increase the cook timeif you want a medium orwell done steak, but with steaks this good, you don’t want lớn overcook them.

PRE Beef is cut to be about 1 một nửa inches thick, và the thickness of the steak determines the cook time. Adjust the cook time based on the thickness of your steak, if necessary.

This steak will cook quickly, so make sure you have everything prepped first. Have mashed potatoes ready, just keep them warm. And slice your shallots and mushrooms.

Start by removing the steak from the packaging và patting it dry with a paper towel. This step is important because if there is moisture on the steak it will create steam, & you don’t want to steam your steak, you want to sear it creating a flavorful crust on the outside, right?

Then generously coat it with a layer of seasoning salt và seasoning pepper – these are spice mixes available at your grocery store that showroom more flavor than salt & pepper alone.

Rub the seasoning into the beef.

Heat agrill pan or skillet over medium high heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

Let the steak cook for 2 minutes.

Remove the steak from the grill pan & let it rest for 5 minutes. If you are nervous that your steak won’t be cooked enough, insert a meat thermometer sideways into the center of the steak. Immediately melt another tablespoon of butter in the same grill pan, add thesliced shallot & mushrooms, season with salt & pepper, & sauté for 5 minutes. Once that was ready, I quickly wilted some spinach in olive oil & seasoned it with salt – mostly because I wanted lớn put something green on the plate.

Now that your vegetables are ready and your meat has rested, serve your steak. It should be nice và pink và juicy in the middle.
