These mung bean cakes are a delightful dessert that is not too sweet. The cakes have a red bean paste filling, but you can leave out the filling if you want something simpler. Serve them at room temperature or chilled in the refrigerator.

MAKING CAKES WITHOUT FILLING

Although my aunt’s recipe uses red bean filling, you can make the cakes with mung bean paste only! Just measure out 30-gram pieces of the mung bean paste & shape them with the mooncake press.
