Wave modelling is an integral part of many activities related to lớn the sea & today it is more important than ever. A key issue in numerical modelling is the computational speed. Improvements in calculation speed make it possible lớn execute larger models or khổng lồ undertake more simulations within a given time frame. This is highly relevant both in research environments and in professional engineering departments.

The use of graphical processing units (GPUs) is a very efficient và cost-effective way lớn speed up simulations and as of release năm trước we have made it possible to lớn use GPUs with our MIKE 21 FM HD software và with the Flexible Mesh solver with MIKE FLOOD software. We also support the use of multiple GPUs on Windows PCs.

Depending on the model thiết lập and the type of GPU, the speed-up can be a factor 100 or more compared lớn running the same simulation on a single processor CPU*. Simulation speed is a key issue in many modelling software applications. We have introduced parallelisation in many of our products, particularly in those that most often have long simulation times. PARALLELISATION OF MIKE 21/3 ENGINES

The computational engines of our MIKE 21 và MIKE 3 software are available in two parallelised version – one with shared memory (OpenMP) & one with distributed memory architecture (MPI). The parallelised versions result in much faster simulations with many cores.

HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING

You can run your simulations with MIKE 21 and MIKE 3 on a high performance computer (HPC), which means that you can tốc độ up your simulations significantly.
